Port Isaac and Padstow are approximately 20 miles, from Padstow quayside you can enjoy a bite to eat at one of the many cafes or bars including TV chef, Rick Stein's bistro or restaurant. You can also catch the passenger ferry over the estuary to the beautiful sandy beach at Rock.

There is so much to see and do in this glorious area of North Cornwall including the National Trust property at Lanhydrock and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. For visitors who want to stay closer to home, less than a 5 minute drive is the historic Jamaica Inn made famous by Daphne Du Maurier's novel of the same name, where you can enjoy good food and a drink or two. Alternatively, The Old Inn at St Breward is well worth a visit.

The village tearooms are within a two minute walk of Inglenook Cottage, as is the Crumplehorn Inn, a characterful 13th Century Inn offering hearty food. The picturesque village of Polperro can be reached within a leisurely stroll. Polperro is arguably one of the prettiest villages in Cornwall, characterised by a jumble of fisherman’s cottages and colourful boats bobbing in the harbour. Here you will also find a handful of shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy.
Within a short drive you will reach Looe, a popular resort with gift shops, fish and chip stalls and a popular family-friendly beach. Be sure to also make the short drive to Fowey, a charming fishing town with a selection of boutiques and art galleries. Fowey holds many events throughout the year including the popular Fowey Royal Regatta and the Daphne du Maurier literary festival. If you feel like a day on the water you can hire kayaks and boats or join a cruise along the river.
